The CCID bids farewell to its front of house and database administrator, Bianca Phillips.
Bianca first joined the organisation towards the end of 2014 as a personal assistant to CCID CEO, Tasso Evangelinos, and progressed to the role of front-of-house and database administrator when the CCID moved to its own premises in 1 Thibault Square in March 2015.
Says Communications Manager, Carola Koblitz: “Our department has worked very closely with Bianca as she’s managed the important databases that we use to keep our stakeholders informed. She undertook this position with zeal and gusto and really made it her own. I also think that being front of house is something that people take for granted, but I’ve always admired Bianca’s ability to cope with the many and varied requests – not to mention visitors – that have come through the CCID’s ‘front door’, so to speak.”
“Lady B” or just “B”, as she’s affectionately been known by some members of the CCID family, has a legal secretarial background in litigation law as well as commercial, intellectual property and sports law.
Says Bianca: “I’ll miss the people at the CCID who have become my extended family over the years and I’ll miss what the CCID does and stands for; it’s a unique organisation with a phenomenal group of individuals who always put in more than what is required and which I believe makes a tangible difference in the Cape Town CBD. I’ve grown immensely as a person and I have learnt a lot during my time at the CCID.”
Having worked closely with Bianca over the years, CCID staff members concur that Bianca will be dearly missed. Says Carola: “She has a passion for people and her ability to streamline things and make everyone feel welcome will be missed enormously. We have no doubt that she will thrive in her new environment as she leaves the CCID to embark on exciting new challenges.”
